The Journey of us.
Make-A-Wish Field Trip
After Dryden was diagnosed with Leukemia, our family went on a wonderful Make-A-Wish trip, I immediatly knew I wanted to do something to give back to their organization. Dryden, the kids and I have been working on collecting donations of backpacks and supplies from wonderful friends and family to donate to kids for their wish trips. It was another one of those great lessons on giving back for my kids. Once, we had collected about 25 backpacks full of fun things to do we arranged to go up to Make-A-Wish, and donate them in person. The wonderfuly, amazing people at Make-A-Wish gave us a tour of their offices, EVERY one of their offices!! Each staff member stopped to talk to the kids and tell us a little bit about themself. It was such an amazing experience for my kids to see upfront where the wishes all start!! Jerrin even sat in on a meeting for a few minutes.
